Chapter 6 Response
According to the book, more teaching and learning tasks have been enhanced through the usage of digital equipment. I would prefer to teach in a classroom that has more digital technologies because it would allow me to have supplements for my students and make learning more portable and interactive. Scanners, an input device, would be extremely useful when modifying printed materials, such as tests and written speeches, because scanners turn the paper into digital documents that can be altered for present and future uses. Digital cameras capture student presentations, guest speakers, special events or students' work that can be used for learning in the future as a visual resource. Data projectors, an output device, allow teachers to show large classes documents and websites shown on the computer's monitor, which can be used during lessons. Emerging technologies, such as handhelds and portable storage devices, allow teachers to carry large files in a mobile manner and allows students to take essays and PowerPoints home safely to finish or show their guardians. Clickers are great resources to access students informally and get the results back in a swift manner in the form of charts. Having technology in my classroom will allow my students to have different resources within the classroom to enhance learning.

Chapter 11 Response
In the classroom, teachers and students can utilize both traditional and emerging audiovisual technologies in order to enhance learning. To stimulate visual learners, I would use a document camera, an emerging technology, and a bulletin board, a traditional audiovisual technology. When I have taught lessons in the past, the document camera has always been the key piece of technology. The document camera allows me to post solutions to homework problems, have worksheets, projected graphs, students' work, and the Problem of the Day on the board. Having these materials projected allows for more students to be incorporated visually and allows students to be more involved in the lesson. The bulletin board also has played a big part in my lessons. Bulletin boards are great for transitioning into different topics. I could use this visual to have as a reference resource for students. In my previously lessons, I put vocabulary words and formulas on the board in order for students to refer back to in the lessons. In my previous classes, the grades for the classes were posted on bulletin boards.
To stimulate auditory learners, I would use audiocassettes. Audiocassettes, a traditional piece of technology, allow students to record lessons and have the opportunity to go back and listen to the taught material for the day. Often times in classes students' minds will drift off or they don't understand one concept which inhibits students' future learning. The audiocassettes would allow students to go back and learn and clarify the parts of the lesson that was confusing to them. For emerging technology, I would use the internet audio, or a MP3 player, in order to have songs for my students to listen to while working in class. In my Teachers' Academy class, relaxing and slow music played while we were taking tests. I want to use this in my classroom because having this audio supplement will make students feel more comfortable and at ease.
